We are all Connected

On my morning walk the other day, in the solitude of being alone with my thoughts, I shifted to an intense awareness of the world outside my mind. I saw the bare trees in the forest, with few hints of color in the dead of a warm winter’s day.

I was thinking of some of the challenges I had been dealing with over the holidays and the sadness of missing family… and at that moment my focus was directed toward two trees tangled together as one. A larger one, that looked healthy and strong, with a smaller thinner trunk leaned fully against it, branches growing up around the trunk of the larger tree, as though it was hugging it - leaning on it for strength.

I slowed down and took a picture. Then walked a few feet, only to see a beautiful sight of multiple trees to the right, all separate, growing in the formation of a circle, yet growing together. The branches in this community were so interwoven that it was hard to see where one tree started and the next ended. It was a beautiful, awe-inspiring sight.

At that moment I was taken out of my own thoughts and immersed in the awareness that we are truly all connected in life. At times we are the big sturdy tree - providing strength and support. At other times we are all playful soulmates, taking up equal space, but still connected together in a harmonious dance.

This felt inside me like a reminder to be kind to one another

A reminder to be kind to ourselves

A reminder that we are all connected in the dance of life

Take time to stop, get out of your thoughts, look around you and truly acknowledge the beauty of nature and how its own stories align with the very nature of human beings.

There is power in walking outside, in nature, and connecting to the beauty around you - for your mental health, to ground you and bring you back to magic and miracles that are always around us, and to tune in to the universe that holds us safely.

Grateful to be on this journey with you! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Thank you for being here.

Never forget one person can make a difference…. that one person is YOU.

With so much love,

Your friend,

Kim xo
